Fuel cells are a highly efficient means of producing electrical power, and may also provide usable heat. Fuel cells work as the reverse of electrolysis; hydrogen is combined with oxygen to produce water and an electrical charge. Fuel cells are currently expensive; however with continued development they may form the ultimate green solution in vehicles and static generation.
Conventional engine-driven generators may be adapted to run on hydrogen fuel. ITM have deep knowledge of both fuel cell and generator technologies, and believe that the internal combustion engine provides a low cost solution to the adoption of hydrogen.
Hydrogen energy systems are applicable within the built environment and industrial processes. ITM Have the requisite expertise in the design, build and integration of such systems and offer a can offer a bespoke solution to meet the demands of each application.
